Stop Access to Mature Adult Content Sites on Internet Explorer
There is a way to block sites right from your Internet Explorer browser. Here’s how you do it:
- Go to Tools > Internet Options > Content
- In the “Content Advisor” section click on “Enable”
You are now in the Content Advisor. From here you can set your settings.
- Use “Ratings” Tab – Set rating levels for: language, nudity, sex and violence.

Brian : Try OpenDNS...simple configuration, then one stop and you can control all site usage by category or individually not matter what browser used.

Martin Sandbach : I agree with the first poster. Open DNS is great. Here is why. 1. It is free 2. You can block at a PC level or router level so every PC in your home will have content filters. 3. There is no software to install. 4. Just create a login there, choose your level of parental control and then point your PC or Router to use their Domain Name Servers. I was a linux guru back in the old days until such time when SQUID was released to support Windows and an office consult me of setting up their web proxy cache I tried using this and it’s awesome. In my page I’ve put step by step configuration on Windows with scripting on squid.conf on how to block sites like streaming,porn sites and block port.
