Dinesh : These ads sucks.

Debajyoti Das : Yup, ads suck, too bad we ourselves also show them to our readers. :P

Harsh Agrawal : Hey this is useful.... Even I'm tired of these facebook ads...

Debajyoti Das : @ Harsh - I am glad you liked the post :)

Nathan Watchorn : i have just joined because of my friends . i like to keep things neat and simple . somehow i wasn't able to enjoy my face book chatting . i realized in a period of time that the reason i do not enjoy is advertisement coming again and again all the time. as i like organized things with your help i would be able to continue that.

Debajyoti Das : @ Nathan - I agree, Facebook is quite annoying with ads...

Pankaj Gupta : I think you may get banned from facebook if you are using any script. I am not sure about this just read somewhere on internet. So donot take any risk .

Debajyoti Das : You have a misconception Pankaj.... The script is not working inside Facebook, the script is working in the browser (Firefox). Its like a filter which blocks specific scripts & image urls. Hope you get me

Mike : So if there are no ads, how can they afford to host all your photos, videos, etc? Answer: They can't. Why do you have the Google Adsense up on this site?

Debajyoti Das : You are right.... but not every one like ads...

Anita : ALL THE ADDS THAT ARE BEING PUT ON FACEBOOK, ON THE HOME AND PROFILE PAGE IS GETTING TO ANNOYING, ITS RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF MY PAGE OR ON THE SIDE, TO LONG(LENGTH WISE)TO COLORFUL, AND WHEN THE ADD CHANGES TO A DIFFERENT ADD IT TURNS MY FACEBOOK PAGE COMPLETELY WHITE, AND IT SEEMS TO BE MAKING MY FACEBOOK SLOW, I COULDN'T CARE LESS ABOUT ALL THE ADDS ON FACEBOOK, IT HAS NO MEANING TO ME I DON'T COME ON FACEBOOK TO LOOK AT ADDS

Neen : They are making money off Zynga and other game applications. FB does get a percentage of the sales from them. I agree with Anita when it comes to the ads. I just recently got the annoying ads and want to turn them off but cant. They should do the ad thing to every user not just to the unfortunate select few.

Neen : One more thing I noticed that I didn't have the advertisements in my newsfeed till I played with the "Cartoonize Yourself" application. Now it has its own tab on the far right corner of facebook.

renee dancingrl : I do not like those ads popping up in the middle of my facebook page and on home page - get rid of them

lisa may kirkman : I am sick to death ov yr face book advertisments on my home page. I am a christian an all these dating services are un called for. Also games an where to buy adds.. Put a stop to them now..

Brittany : i will tell you, all i did was add greasemonkey. nothing else and it took all the ads in my facebook feed off!!! im a person with much patience. but i dont get on facebook to be directed to millions of other sites. i get on there to connect with family and friends. im not going to fish their posts out of a ton of ads. also bad idea when people start phishing those ads. everyone clicking on them every second of the day makes it the perfect nest for a virus and god knows what else

Si kasep : Thanks for this article. Now I can even remove the Facebook ads that I don't like...

CEP : I've had a facebook account for less than 2 weeks, and all of the sudden a couple days ago, the ads are EVERYWHERE. If I go to my newsfeed or wall, multiple commercials start playing at the same time. If the sound is on, they overlap eachother, it's nuts. I can't believe they would subject their users to that. It goes beyond anything else I've seen. Shame on you Facebook.
