Just upload any picture to FotoFlexer, and open Geek (tab). There click on a tool called "Smart Scissors" that works like the Magnetic Lasso selection of Photoshop.

You can use this free FotoFlexer tool to extract person from photo in a group photograph or remove background in photos to merge two photos – cut a portion from the first image using Smart Scissors and place in over the second picture.

# Using MS Office Word 2010 to Remove Background in Pictures

Microsoft Word 2010 comes with a handy new tool that narrows the gap between word processor and image editor. Word 2010 now has a background removal tool, although it’s pretty basic compared to Adobe Photoshop’s capabilities.

Insert a picture, go to Insert > Illustrations > Picture then Click on Picture Tools.

Now select the object to extract. The background becomes purple. Press Enter to remove background in photo.
