Make Programs Run As Administrator By Default in Windows 7
One of the little annoying feature of windows 7 is the User Account Controls and the Administrator privileges needed by programs to change or alter make changes in your system. This is actually a nice security feature.
But when running programs like Netbeans IDE etc I faced a lot of problems since I wasn’t able to understand where the problems were until I realized that I had to use the programs runs as administrator since the program was installed in my windows (C:) drive and wring to the C: drive requires administrator privileges.
Make Individual Programs Run As Administrator By Default
Step 1 : Right Click on the Program Shortcut or the exe and go to Properties.
Step 2 : Go to the "Compatibility" tab and Click on ‘‘Change settings for all users".
Step 3 : Locate "Privilege Level" and check "Run this program as administrator". Click Apply.
Done, from now on whenever you run an application after you have set them to run as administrator, it pop an User Account Control dialogue. You can simply turn it off by clicking on "Change when these notifications appear".
Hope this helps, let us know in comments of any suggestions or problems.
