If you find a public pc at a library and want to know the web sites visited on this computer for the past few days or today, just for fun or to keep a log of the mostly visited sites for eg: to block facebook if too many people access it etc, or if you are a parent and want to see which are the sites your kids have been visiting recently.
Accessing Browser History to View Sites Visited on a Computer
# Internet Explorer (IE)
Click of the Favorites just below the address bar, Select the History tab to view the list of web sites visited on this computer. It provides upto 2 weeks old artchive. You can also use Ctrl+H shortcut to directly access this browser history page.
To delete or remove a site or a week, Right Click > Delete.
# Firefox, Google Chrome
Here too you can use Ctrl+H shortcut to directly access the browser history page. Firefox shows the list of visited sites as a drop down list but chrome shows as an interesting archive page.
To remove items, in firefox right click on a week to delete or an item to select Forget About this Site. In chrome, click on edit items and use the checkbox to select the visited sites etc to remove.
