Post to Multiple Social Media Profiles At Once Using Posterous
So, you are a social media star. You’ve got a presence on every major social media service that’s out there. You’ve got multiple Facebook pages, LinkedIn profiles, and Twitter accounts. You’re active on a photo-sharing site. You have your own blog, Pinterest page, and YouTube channel. You even keep your MySpace page active just so you can show off your old school cred.
You’ve got friends, contacts, and followers in countries all over the world. You have better relationships with these people than you do with some family members. And when your buddies have questions about their social media pages, they ask you instead of turning to the site’s service desk.
There’s just one problem with having all of these ports in cyberspace. If you want to tell the world something, you have to go to each site, type in your message, attach a photo or video or whatever, and then do it all again for all of your social media pages. That can take up a whole lot of your time.
Wouldn’t it be great if maintaining your complex social media presence was simple? Now it is. With Posterous.
Sync All Your Social Media Profiles, Accounts in One Place
Posterous is a site that allows you to type one email message and have it posted on all of your social media sites (or any combination of them that you want). That’s right. If you send the email, the message appears on your Facebook page. And Twitter feed. And WordPress or other blog. And LinkedIn, Typepad, Tumblr, Blogger, MovableType, and more. If there’s a photo attached, it gets displayed on Flickr. Ditto for videos and YouTube.
It’s easy to set all of this up. Here’s how.
Step 1. Go to Posterous.com. On the site’s home page, you’ll see a small box near the top which begins the signup process. In the signup box, enter your email address, a password, and a user name, and then type in the two kaptcha words in the space provided. You’ll receive a confirmation email to set up your account, and then you’ll be directed to a page which displays your "spaces." This is where your emailed posts will show up on .
Step 2 : What you want to do now is set up your space so that your messages are "autoposted" to all of your social media sites. To do that, click on the drop-down arrow next to the settings icon, which is next to your space category. The fourth entry on the drop-down menu is "Autopost Setup" Select that option.

Step 3. You’ll see the autoposting page with a big yellow button in the middle that says "Add a Service." Click that button. A new window will open displaying all of the social media sites that Posterous supports.

When you choose one of these sites, Posterous automatically pairs your email address with the one registered to that particular social media site. For instance, if you choose Facebook, you’ll be invited to log in to your Facebook account.
Step 4. You’ll have authenticate with each web service and configure your account, and that’s it. Just repeat the process for all of your other social accounts.
Step 5. Then, whenever you want to post a message on all of your social media sites you’ve connected, just type an email from the email account you’ve registered with and send it to post@posterous.com. It will instantly be autoposted on all of your relevant platforms.

If you want to post it on select sites, you just alter the email address a little bit. For example, if you just want it posted on your Twitter and Facebook accounts, send the message to facebook+twitter@posterous.com. Check out this youtube video tutorial for more help.
There are plenty of other features that Posterous allows you to do, like create your own Posterous profile, change the themes on your spaces page, receive email notifications if anyone comments or posts to your social media sites, and much more. But once you set up your Posterous page, the time you spend updating all of your profiles will shrink dramatically. That’ll give you more time to do other things – like comment on others’ social media sites!
