Microsoft Doing Good for the World (I’d rather get Windows 7) – Browser for the Better
Microsoft has announced that for every download of Internet Explorer 8, they will give 8 meals to the Feeding America Network. The program is called: “Browser for the Better”. It runs from June 10th to August 8th.This picture, from Gizmodo, shows artists staking the food into shapes of the Empire State Building and Golden Gate Bridge.

Okay that’s nice, but do you think that this is forcing us to download IE 8 ? Well, you could just download it and uninstall it later, so I think it’s a good thing.
Still, I would rather get Windows 7, even though it’s only a usable Vista.
What do you all think?

That’s a good question.
wow, nice work by microsoft. I dont know whether this is good or bad, but as long as we are using Windows, IE seems to be necessary. I know that we could use other browsers like FF, Chrome but IE is still necessary for Windows update sites etc, and also some sites are still only compatible with IE. So whether its good or bad , like or dislike as long as u use Windows, u need to use IE. so why not upgrade to the latest version IE8. Also I like the new IE8 and its features.(my personal opinion only). You want another browser, then for simple website surfing i prefer Opera 9.64 or Chrome 2. They are damn fast and secure too. FF is ok, but u need all that add-ons. so if u want more features, then FF.
